About the event

Stevie Wonder, Frieda Khalo, Stephen Hawking, Einstein, Beethoven - you catch my drift - all have something in common. Apart from being disabled in one way or another, each one rose to the top of their sectors and to historical significance because of their brilliance. Despite many of the greatest thinkers and creators of all time coming from disabled communities, why do disabled and neurodiverse people still face seemingly insurmountable barriers to entry into the working world? At its core, business is about creating solutions to solve problems. Disabled people solve problems, calculate risk, prioritise and delegate by default. For disabled people, coming up with creative solutions is necessary to survive and thrive in a world not designed for our existence. If companies are really serious about accessing the best talent, it's time they take a look at how they are accommodating and creating opportunities for neurodiverse and disabled people and start doubling down on how to maximise the incredible talent available in our community. Most studies and data point to the significant value disabled people bring to teams. And setting them up for success is the anchor of our discussion. In our first "Ask Us Anything" think in, moderated by Kia Christian, Big Tech Leader and Board member of Clu, we will cover: -How to reduce barriers to entry -How to optimise your attraction campaigns -How to optimise your hiring processes -Interview process best practice We will focus on sharing best practices, inviting you to share your barriers, concerns and successes too. All attendees will also get a copy of our new Hiring Disabled and Neurodiveerse People toolkit.
